Student Involvement

Serve God and the community on the altar as an altar server, serve as an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, or share your gift of reading as a lector for Mass. Training is required to be an altar server, extraordinary minister, or lector. Please contact Sarah Romero for more information and training opportunities.

• All students can volunteer to serve as lectors, hospitality ministers (ushers), and choir members

• Students who have been baptized and have made their first communion may serve as altar servers

• Seniors who have been confirmed may serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Prepare the music for monthly All-School Masses, including five songs for each Mass and the musical Propers. Choir members should be able to match pitch.  Ability to read music is a plus, but not required.

Current students can engage in leadership roles during key retreats and orientation events throughout the academic year.

• Current students may serve as "New Student Retreat" leaders at the annual Building the Pride new student orientation in July.

• Current Juniors can apply in the Fall semester to become leaders for their Senior Kairos retreat. If selected, Junior Kairos leaders are expected to attend the Senior Kairos retreat in the Spring to experience the retreat for themselves before spending the next year preparing the retreat for their peers in their Senior year.

• Posadas Prayer Service

• Stations of the Cross Prayer Service

Current students can engage in various leadership roles, including starting faith-based clubs or small groups with our support. Additionally, student representatives are nominated annually to serve on the Archdiocesan Youth Council. Please contact Mrs. Romero if you are interested!
