Retreats

The retreats provide students an opportunity to step back from the school routine and to reflect on their relationship with God, to learn about themselves, and to build stronger bonds among classmates.

All students attend their class retreat each year. Participating in a Cristo Rey Jesuit retreat gives students, faculty, and staff the space to reflect on our Ignatian values and foster spiritual self-discovery.

Retreat Program

Freshmen

Freshmen attend a one-day retreat to reflect on the life of St. Ignatius of Loyola and consider their own journey through high school as a pilgrimage

Juniors

Juniors attend a three-day, two-night retreat to study Mary and Joseph as models of discernment and a spirituality that responds generously for the greater glory of God. This off-campus retreat is separated into a girls retreat and a boys retreat.

Sophomores

Sophomores attend a one-day retreat to walk through key stories from Scripture and begin to explore what it means to “find God in all things.”

Seniors

Seniors attend Kairos, a four-day, three-night retreat based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Kairos is a tradition held at Jesuit schools around the world. Seniors are invited to reflect on and wrestle with their relationship with God and His call for them to live as men and women for others. This off-campus retreat is separated into a girls retreat and a boys retreat.
