Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA)
What is the new Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) program?
Starting in the 2026–27 school year, Texas will launch its new Texas Education Freedom Act program under Senate Bill 2. Eligible families can receive approximately $10,400 per year per child to apply toward educational services, such as private school tuition. The program offers flexibility and financial support for students and families that can make attending Cristo Rey Jesuit even more affordable. Cristo Rey Jesuit continues to diligently monitor the qualifications, launch, and registration process for the TEFA program. Cristo Rey Jesuit plans to assist prospective families as much as possible. Applications open February 4, 2026!
