Finishing a Job Well Done

IMG_5335As our day comes to a close, and our students go home, it is nearly impossible to put into words all that today has meant to so many people.  For many involved with the school, the first day with students on campus is the culmination of more than a year's worth of work, bringing the country's newest Jesuit high school to our city!  We here at Cristo Rey Jesuit could hardly be more excited -- we have a beautifully renovated building, thanks to the incredible work of Fretz Construction, and generous donations from so many wonderful supporters.  We have incredibly well-furnished offices and classrooms, courtesy of so many who heard our story and donated furniture to us.  Our incoming class is an exciting group of well-rounded, diverse students who will become men and women for others, as they strive to reach their full potential.  The school's base is an incredibly talented group of leaders, with teachers who have many years of experience, to administration and staff who are at the top of their fields.  As all of the many parts of this school have come together, we are all filled with pride, and most of all thankfulness, to God, to eachother, to our students, to our staff, and to all of those who have supported us -- this is our school.
