Learning to Tie a Tie

As we prepare our students to enter the workforce, here at Cristo Rey Jesuit we are teaching them all of the skills they'll need to be successful both in school, and in their work-study jobs.  One of the most important things is first impressions -- creating a good first impression is a critical component for our students.  On our first day, we are helping the students dress for success by teaching them about the standard Cristo Rey Jesuit uniform and dress code.

Girls' attire will be Khaki dress slacks, a white button-down shirt or blouse with the school emblem, brown or black dress shoes, and an optional dark blue vest with the Cristo Rey Jesuit emblem.  Boys will be wearing Khaki dress slacks, a white button-down shirt with the school emblem, dress shoes, an optional blazer with the school emblem, and an orange and yellow Cristo Rey Jesuit Tie.

To prepare the boys for their attire, our corporate work-study director, Mr. Dan Walsh, our Assistant Principal, Mr. David Garcia-Prats, along with volunteers Mr. Paul Flynn and Mr. Bob Pearl, spent some time this morning showing the students how to tie a tie.  Read more for photos of the training session!
