Prospective students and their families arrived early Friday morning at the newly renovated administrative wing of Cristo Rey Jesuit to undergo interviews as the final step towards being considered for the founding class of the school. While somewhat shy upon crossing the threshold of the 84,000 square foot facility currently under renovation, the students were also very excited about the possibility of going to a high school that would prepare them for college and includes a corporate work-study component as part of the program. The children and their parents were interviewed by various members of the Cristo Rey Jesuit senior staff, who were excited to finally meet the potential Class of 2013. The interviewers were impressed by students' willingness to work hard if given the opportunity to succeed. The school will continue to take applications and conduct interviews throughout the Spring.
