 From the President's Perspective
 Magis – to do “the more”….It is our motto and the perfect word to describe what has happened this year. We have done more in one year than most do in two, and more than anyone ever expected. The following few items only touch the surface of all the work so many have done to get our mission and school off the ground.
We have indeed done “the more”….and I will continue to push us to do so. This is our inaugural monthly e-newsletter to keep you, our friends and supporters, up to date on the latest happenings at Cristo Rey Jesuit – the newest high school in Houston that targets kids from the poorest parts of Houston and prepares them for entrance into college as well as prepares them to be future leaders in our city. 100 Students Within Reach!
Over the past eight months we have been busy introducing Cristo Rey Jesuit to rising 9th graders and their families throughout Houston. All of this hard work is paying off! To date, we have received more than 85 applications while student and parent interviews are taking place weekly.

Jobs for All of Our Students
Companies throughout Houston have demonstrated their commitment to Cristo Rey Jesuit by supporting the Corporate Work-Study Program. This fall, 100 Cristo Rey Jesuit students will be employed by 23 companies during the academic year. Teams of four students will share one corporate, entry-level job. Read More > |
