From the President's Perspective

The Energizer Bunny Priest . . . There are three things I thought I would never experience in my life as a Jesuit priest. Steps for Students

Join the Cristo Rey Jesuit students, faculty, staff and board members as we participate in the 5th Annual Steps for Students 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. The money raised by the Cristo Rey Jesuit team will go towards the education of Cristo Rey Jesuit students. All participants can set up their own personal pledge collection page online to link to Cristo Rey Jesuit.

The walk will take place on Saturday, February 20th at Robertson Stadium on the campus of the University of Houston. A 5K USA Track and Field Association sanctioned race begins at 8:30 am and the 1k beginning at 9:30 am. Houston businesses, corporations, local Catholic parishes and schools will be in attendance. After the 5K and 1K are completed, there will be a Post Race Party with fun activities for children and prize drawings for gifts from the sponsors. It takes only a few minutes to sign up to be on the Cristo Rey Jesuit team! Please visit www.steps4students.org to register.

We are hoping to have t-shirts with the Cristo Rey Jesuit logo if time and budget permits. Please contact Susan Martin, Director of Communications, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you are interested in purchasing one.
